Therapy for Anxiety
Anxiety Therapy
Anxiety can make it hard to feel present when your mind is constantly preparing for what might happen next.
Anxiety might look like overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty making decisions, avoiding uncomfortable situations, or feeling like you always need to be prepared for what could go wrong. Sometimes it’s obvious. Other times, it can look like being really good at holding everything together while feeling overwhelmed underneath.
Anxiety can also show up in the body. You might notice a racing heart, tightness in your chest, nausea or digestive discomfort, muscle tension, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, or a general sense of feeling on edge. Sometimes these sensations can feel confusing or uncomfortable, especially when you can’t identify an obvious reason for them.
Therapy can help you better understand both the emotional and physical experience of anxiety, recognize the patterns that keep it going, and build more confidence in your ability to navigate discomfort and uncertainty. Together, we can work toward feeling safer and more connected to your body rather than feeling like you’re constantly fighting against it.
You don’t need to have everything figured out to trust that you’ll be able to handle what comes next.
